COVID CUTS OFF SCHOOL FROM STUDENTS
We
have been experiencing Covid-19 for a year now here in the Philippines. Ever
since class ended last March 16, 2020 because of lockdown, students were not
able to go back to school anymore. Covid even has its different variants now,
which are even more dangerous than covid itself. Nonetheless, DepEd still found
it’s solution on continuing the education of the learners in spite of the covid
pandemic by implementing the New Normal Learning. The Modular Learning was way
different from the face-to-face learning. It had no discussions, nor much
assistance from teachers unless the student reached out. Interactions between
students and teachers were also not practiced anymore which students found hard
to focus and learn in the school year 2020-2021.
Face-to-face
learning before we had this covid pandemic was way better because the lessons
were discussed and explained properly, the students had activities to
participate to, and we had social interactions with other people freely. Now
that we have corona virus, protocols should be strictly followed for us to be
safe and away from this deadly virus. Although, most people couldn’t even
follow these protocols properly. Self-control is something we should practice
for it is important nowadays. But we all know that self-control is hard to do,
specially to the young. Last school year was a tough year for the students, but
DepEd had improved their strategies for school year 2021-2022 by implementing
the blended modality so that teachers will get to discuss the lessons to their
students virtually for them to understand and learn better.
This
covid pandemic has been a tough battle for all of us, and still, we continue to
strive to fight against it. Having education amidst the pandemic is hard but it
is easier now that teachers do their best to teach their students at least
virtually. Not every guardian has the ability to teach their children and having
time limit in answering tasks for the modules is really effective because it
makes us students get moving and not procrastinate.

You're correct, distance learning has really been a struggle for us students and teachers alike and in implementing blended modality the teachers now have a way of discussing the lessons and helping us to understand.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree. Personally, I really am not a fan of distance learning, and I think most of us are not too. Although, you are correct when you said that we have it easier now since teachers are trying their best to teach us, and I salute them for that. Anyways, great work!
ReplyDeleteImpressive work you got there. I have to say that I do, too, not favor the said distance learning. It truly has been a struggle for students to learn and there goes as well for the teachers. It's true that teachers are doing their best for us to keep up the spirit of learning. Although, I do not enjoy learning anymore. Its not mostly about the pandemic or not being able to physically go to school, but the problem is actually just me. Nonetheless, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI agree too, I am also struggling and I really miss hanging out with you guys. Although I respect the teachers who are trying their best to teach us and keep us have that motivation of learning but it's so draining that it took a severe toll on my mental health.
ReplyDeleteThis sums up how I feel about today's classes; stressful and very unmotivating. Nowadays, it's not even about learning. I like what you've written here, Ezra, and I wish to see more posts from you!
