ONCE UPON A MUSIC COMPOSITION
I
studied elementary from grade one to four in Vigan Nan Chong School, where I
learned Chinese. My parents then decided to transfer me to Burgos Memorial
School West for grades five to six, because I was getting too stressed in my
Chinese class. At sixth grade, my adviser made me join journalism, copyreading
and headline writing, and I won first place in Division Schools Press
Conference, and I attended Regional Schools Press Conference after. I continued
journalism in high school at eighth grade and won fifth place in Division
Schools Press Conference this time. Ever since I was younger, I’ve always had a
passion for singing and dancing. At fourth grade, I joined a Chinese singing
contest in my Chinese school and I won first place. Although, as I grew older,
I became more shy and didn’t bother joining more contest other than journalism
itself.
“Dreams
don’t work unless you do.” We have to make a move and set a goal for us to
reach our dreams. It is not wrong when we try to reach the things that seems
impossible to achieve. If we don’t chase our dreams, then they will not become
a reality. The decision will always be on ourselves, and it is a choice whether
for it to make it happen or not. My love for music is unmeasurable and my dream
to be just like my favorite artists is a big dream that is far from my sight,
but I won’t let that stop me from doing what I desire. You just have to stay
positive, keep on chasing your dreams, never give up, and someday, you will be
the one who you always wanted to be.
