OUR COUNTRY NEEDS DISCIPLINE

The Philippines is facing plenty of issues and one of the biggest problems as of now are poverty and the covid-19. Poverty has been a problem of ours for years now, yet it is still not completely solved for our country. And now, another problem came to arise, the covid-19 pandemic. Us Filipinos are optimistic that we often still find ways to bring positive vibes even though we already are facing a tough time. According to Bloomberg, Philippines ranked 53rd out of 53 countries that was surveyed in covid-19 resilience.

The government had already implemented safety protocols for us to follow. Wearing of face masks, face shields, practicing social distancing and no social gatherings. We also have checkpoints at boundaries of places to avoid the spreading of this virus. We try our best to be safe from this disease, yet some people are still not careful. They continue being stubborn and don’t even follow the health protocols, making covid spread even worst. One of the main reasons I’ve observed on why covid patients keep on increasing is because we do not have the discipline. We are stubborn and we don’t often do the right thing. Going back to Bloomberg’s survey, out of the fifty-three countries that were surveyed, we are at the bottom. If we continue to ignore the health protocols and be hard headed during this time of pandemic, then we will not be able to defeat and stop corona virus in our country.

To sum it all up, discipline is what we need to improve in my opinion because we can never bring corona virus to it’s end if we don’t do the next right thing for the better good. We are struggling and facing a really dangerous virus, it is stopping freedom from us. We will never get our freedom back to our society if we don’t let covid get defeated.

  1. Agreed, even if some people follow the set protocols there is still some that are stubborn and won't cooperate.
