HEAR THE CRIES OF OUR MOTHER EARTH

God created the earth. God gave us a place to live in, and he sent us here to protect and conserve it. Although, as years go by, what we are doing is the complete opposite. Because of man, disasters are created. Landslides, flooding, air and water pollution are becoming more dangerous. Because of man, natural disasters are getting worst. Because of rocket ships being launched to the space, factories, and burning of wastes, the atmosphere is getting weaker. All of the environmental problems that we are facing right now, is our fault. Yes, that’s right. At the end of the day, we are the ones to blame.

“Human activities (primarily the burning of fossil fuels) have fundamentally increased the concentration of greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere, warming the planet. Natural drivers, without human intervention, would push our planet toward a cooling period.”

Without human intervention, our environment would really recover in a way. Our activities connected to the environment would be more strict and people wouldn’t be free to overdo things. In factories for example, the burning of fossil fuels could be lessen or maybe substituted by something that is safer. Another example is the chopping down of trees. People could be restricted to only get a tree when it is really important and needed, and planting new seeds to replace the chopped down tree.

Here are the most important ways to protect and care for the environment:

1.      Plant Trees

As I mentioned earlier, we should plant trees to replace the chopped ones. This is to help recover our forest to be green again and not have a complete empty devastating environment.

2.      Conserve Water

Without water, we cannot survive. Every drop matters, and so, we should learn to conserve water because a significant amount of energy is used to pump water towards your home.

3.      Limit Car Use

By using the car, it emits smoke that affects air pollution and climate change. We can walk instead or use a bicycle in transportation to help reduce in these issues and it can also help in maintaining a good and healthy lifestyle.

4.      Switch Off

This is what we always do every year on the Earth Day. Switching off computers, televisions, printers and even lights that are not in use is very helpful in lessening the heat that causes global warming in our planet.

5.      Limit Meat Consumption

Whenever an animal is killed for food, there are greenhouse emissions and the fossil fuels will produce methane during decomposition. In this situation, you can be more vegetarian. This also lessens the carbon-footprint and can even help you in having a healthy lifestyle.

6.      Use Eco-Friendly Products

Using of eco-friendly products is important to help in having minimal impact on the environment. Avoiding the use of plastic is necessary to refrain from having scattered trash anywhere that causes an unpleasant view and can even kill lives of animals – including the ones from the bodies of water.

7.      Segregate Your Garbage Properly

Practicing to separate our garbage in their respective kind is useful to properly and easily identify which is which. Which to recycle or reuse, which to use as fertilizer and which to completely put away for it is no longer needed.

8.      Water Plants

Watering plants is important to keep them living and healthy. Without plants in our environment, there will be no fresh oxygen for us to inhale to keep ourselves healthy.

9.      Clean Your Surroundings

Last but not the least, cleaning the surroundings is necessary to keep the environment neat and pleasant.

This is our planet. It is our responsibility to protect and conserve it. Otherwise, once our environment will completely get destroyed, there will no longer be a home we can call to live at. It is our responsibility as human to maintain this great gift of God clean and green. It may be hard to restore our environment, but all we need to do is to hear the cries of our mother Earth so we can help her, have discipline and teamwork, and we will be able to recover the beautiful home.
