TODAY’S YOUTH, TOMORROW’S HOPE
Like what Jose Rizal said, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” (“The youth is the hope of the people.”). And he’s not wrong. The youth is the hope of the people and the country for they are the ones who are currently having education. They are knowledgeable enough of what they are doing and making a decision for since they are recently learning these from their lessons. If they learn to speak out loud, they can be the voice to help fix the problems in our country. To wake up other people and open their eyes to the problems we are facing in the society and environment.
The
theme for this 2021 National Children’s Month Celebration is “New Normal Na
Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!” (No One is Left
Behind under the New Normal: Focus on Children’s Rights)”. This pandemic has
sure been a tough enemy to defeat for everyone, and specially the youth. But that
is not something new. Although, some teenagers during the first year of this
pandemic, were not really feeling optimistic. A lot of them became hopeless, depressed,
and basically became really unhappy due to the situation. Focusing on children’s
rights is a must, and is necessary during this pandemic so that they stay physically
and mentally healthy. Not only that, but the right to be educated, to be
treated fairly, and to be heard. The first school year amidst the pandemic was
not easy, and I’m glad it is not the same now since the teachers are trying their
best to teach their students online through a meeting for them to understand
the lessons better.
The
youth is what everybody is hoping for to change and solve problems in the
country someday. They are the ones who will be soon handling and operating what
is going to be the future. If only the whole youth would take education
seriously, then it would really help the country succeed.

I really like how simple your article is. The youth are our hope and it is their basic rights to be protected and thought right. Although this pandemic is not the ideal stance to teach them, our teachers are doing their best to give quality education.
