New Beginnings For A Better Future


            New year resolutions are known as broken promises most of the time. Every year, we tell ourselves to do a new particular hobby, habit, or maybe even change our own characteristics. “New Year, New Me.” This phrase is honestly amusing for me since it doesn’t really even happen. Well, that’s just what I’ve observed and experienced for the past years. But in this tough condition we are in from the last two years, we are in serious need to follow our new rules and protocols for this new normal.

 

            Starting a new year with great resolutions which will be surely followed without any fail would make a good change and improvement for the better of our society and fellow people from the virus. These resolutions could be simply the following: (1) Strictly follow the implemented protocols and always have concern for your health, as well as others, for everyone to stay safe and avoid the spreading. (2) Avoid mass gatherings as much as possible; never forget to practice social distancing. (3) Learn to cope up with experiences of distressing feelings of sadness, anxiety, grief, and uncertainty; reach out to someone you trust to talk your problems out to in order to avoid the negative feelings taking over your mindset. Remember, your mental health is important (besides your physical health) in times of crisis like this, specially when you’re isolated. (4) Stay physically fit and healthy. Never forget to keep an active physical fitness lifestyle in times like this. The virus is really threatening when you catch it, if you have a really unhealthy and inactive lifestyle. Ways are to always have an exercise and eat vegetables and fruits as well. (5) Lastly, I advice you to do meditation as well. As a personal experience, it really helped me a lot through my rough times from last year. I was never a fan of meditating at all, but I realized it was one of the important things to undertake in life for it is truly helpful for us to stay mentally stable and have positive thoughts.

 

            On a final note, following these finest new year’s resolutions for the upcoming year 2022 would in fact be helpful for everyone’s mental and physical health and would even help us in stopping the spread of the corona virus and finally end this battle. We will win someday. And hopefully soon enough, covid will no longer be a serious pandemic all around the world. Happy Holidays to all of you!
