VIGAN CITY: THE HERITAGE PROVINCE
I have to be honest, research is not my favorite subject. But with the help of this, it helps our community to improve as time pass by, and even spread more information about a certain topic. Although, it’s a good thing this Community Based Research is not as complicated as the main subject Research and Research II.
In
the making of this Community Based Research, me and my group mates had a hard
time having an appointment to interview the Vigan City Environment and Natural
Resources Officer I, Mr. Teddy Boy L. Corpuz. It took almost two weeks of us
waiting for the update on the date when we can interview. It was a relief when I
asked my aunt, who works in the City Hall, for help since she gladly agreed to
help us. The very next day, we were finally able to interview Sir Corpuz, the
CENRO I of Vigan City.
Besides ICT, among all the subjects, most tasks were mainly essays. I was never a fan of essays, specially in Filipino. Yes, I am a Pilipina, but I am mostly bad in Tagalog, I admit. It’s hard to express or explain something sometimes when my language is Filipino. Although, I am also not good in explaining, but I find it much easier to say things in English. At the end of the day, I sometimes finally fix my essays or if I don’t really know how to fix my grammar in my essays, I ask help from my parents.
Moving
on, I will continue to study hard and know more about what is surrounding me. My
home, the people I know, and even my environment. Being more aware and
knowledgeable of what is going on around me, and knowing more about the arts,
cultures, and history of where I grew up, builds my confidence and proudness of
being part of my city – as of being a Bigueña.
